The United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), Yaoundé co-organized with the NGO, Local Youth Corner, a Youth Leadership Workshop on MDGs from Monday 14 July to Friday 25 July 2008 at its premises.

On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day 2008, The United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Yaounde, organized a media outreach event with the UN Press Club, Bafoussam (West Province, Cameroon). This event was held on Friday 2 May 2008 at the national Radio-TV, CRTV Conference Room.

On the launch by the UNSG of a special Campaign to End violence Against Women last 27 February 2008 and as a prelude to the International Women’s Day 2008, the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) Yaounde, organised 2 events to share information about the Campaign and increase awareness and actions to end violence against Women.
